Elsie Evans
Attic Studios is the place where artist Elsie Evans works and teaches in Bangkok. Born in Scotland, Elise has lived in Asia for more than 20 years and has been a regular contributor to the Bangkok art scene. She runs Attic Studios where you can see her teaching or painting most days.
Self effacing, modest and totally open to new ideas and inspira- tion, Elsie is a free spirit who has found her own path to artistic expression. Along the way she has mastered a number of expressive techniques and disciplines while discovering which of a number of styles might one day be her own. That journey of discovery as she says has probably been the hardest and at the same time, the most rewarding too.
Whether you like drawing, sketching , painting or creating your images through mosaic tiles there is always an exciting and diverse calender of events at Attic.

Lisa Bergan
Today Lisa Bergan calls Bangkok home. She has studied at the City Art Institute in London, has a Diploma from the National Art School of Australia and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours from the University of NSW. She has been involved in many fields of art including Art Direction in film, festival coordination and visual arts practice.
Her art and experience reflect many years of travel and stay throughout Asia and the UK. After a brief hiatus from the industry she has settled back into painting and teaching.
Life experience, she says, brings her inspiration.
“I am inspired by people’s stories and I choose portraiture as a means to express this.
My work is extensively about the characterisation of theses individuals. I like to study the everyday banal human traits and quirky bits like wrinkles, tattoos and scars.
I am not confined by the niceties of everyday existence or idealistic perfectionism.”
Lisa likes to cross social class structures and boundaries, giving her subjects life and vibrancy through line, texture and colour.
