I hope you all had a relaxing and fun-filled holiday. Attic is open and back in action for 2010. Classes are running as usual and we look forward to seeing you all in here as soon as possible.

A couple of weeks ago, Attic got a new studio member.
If you have ever passed us by or been unable to find us, I assure you it won’t happen again. Unless of course you are accustomed to ignoring the pink elephant. If it helps, ours is on a green motorbike…
Moving in...
A couple of weeks ago, Guru magazine ran an article on clubs in bangkok and Attic Studios was featured as an “Art Club”. You may have read the article and if so we would like to correct a wee misprint. The article stated that we do not have nude models in for drawing/painting sessions here but the truth is…we do.
When was the last time you went out into the world to paint? I would imagine many of you never have. It’s quite a different experience from painting in the comfort of an artificially lit, airconditioned studio.
Attic has decided to organise monthly excursions out to different locations to paint. The first such trip was part of the Intermediate Impasto painting course that took place the second last week of April.
The next trip has been planned for Wednesday, 3rd June and we’ll be heading to the river.
OK, we have a ton of catching up to do, however, as there was an impromptu piss up at the studio last night, I’ve got a hangover from hell and I would much rather be in bed. So, don’t expect any inspirational prose, alright. It’s just not going to happen.
Right…moving on.
From 23rd - 27th March, Attic held an Impressionist painting foundation course led by artist Alan Scott-Moncrieff who is now a regular fixture at the studio and the only man on staff. Not that him being a man is of any particular importance. I mean, people come here to learn the fundamentals of painting not perv on the new guy. Right?
