Last Saturday the studio was teeming with activity, especially in the afternoon with the older kids taking over the upstairs studio as well as the younger kids downstairs.
Downstairs the younger kids looked at cubism and Picasso’s famous guitar paintings. They observed and drew a real guitar then came up with their own shapes and compositions. Their final paintings were unique and vibrant.
The older kids and teenagers worked on tonal drawings upstairs with charcoal and chalk pastel. Starting with black and grey value drawings and moving on to chalk pastels in vibrant colours. See their wonderful pieces below:
