First Friday #2

Once again, First Friday (4th December 2009) at Attic Studios was a smashing hit!

We had sculptor Gavin Fifield showing and demonstrating his work and answering the questions of curious onlookers. As well as a selection of pieces for sale by ceramicist and potter Claude Brock, who was also present to answer any inquiries.

Upstairs, the studio was converted into a fully carpeted, morrocan style boudoir, with rugs for sale scattered over every available surface. While two of Attic’s artists Mary Eden and Kat Jones demonstrated a little life drawing of a nude male model, which turned out to be quite the spectator sport.

The wine and cocktails flowed and the food was eaten and all in all, it was a terrific evening that went off without a hitch (Apart from a brief visit from the police – which is only proof, First Friday is a party worth attending).

The next First Friday is scheduled for 5th February 2010. We anticipate an exciting evening with photographs on show by Gavin Gough, live Music and possibly even a contortionist….!!

I know. I can’t wait either!
